Announcements Commuter Challenge Begins
From July 17-31, northeast Ohio commuters are challenged to try any alternative to driving alone for at least one day. Whether it's biking, walking, transit, carpooling or telecommuting, this is your chance to help reduce air pollution while saving money.

Commuter Challenge is an initiative of the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency's (NOACA) Air Quality Programs in coordination with Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) and Laketran.
You can participate as an individual or part of a corporate team. Ten local employers will be competing this year to see who can reduce the total number of miles driven alone by employees. Corporate participants include The Cleveland Clinic; University Circle Inc.; CH2M Hill and others from the private, public and nonprofit sectors.
"It's important for us to remember that we all play an important role as environmental stewards," says NOACA Air Quality Planner Amy Wainright. "This event empowers people to reduce their fuel consumption as part of a larger movement on behalf of clean air."
Commute smart. Breathe easy. Take the Commuter Challenge.
For more information, call NOACA at 216-241-2414 and ask for the Air Quality staff.
