To facilitate its participation in the $400,000 Federally- and locally-funded West Shore Corridor Alternatives Analysis, the Task Force is accepting applications for a part-time Task Force Advisor. The Advisor will report to the Task Force co-chairs and represent the Task Force’s interests in the Alternatives Analysis study, which is being sponsored by the Lorain County Board of Commissioners. The Advisor will take this position under contract to the Lorain County Board of Commissioners. Knowledge of the region’s and the State’s local government processes and political leaders and experience with land use planning & zoning are essential background requirements. Demonstration of success in leading local and countywide tax initiatives along with an understanding of state and federal transportation funding mechanisms & processes is a plus. The Advisor will perform a number of tasks, including coordinating activities of the Task Force in advocacy group activities and working with West Shore Corridor communities to help effect public policy changes, especially with regard to land use plans, zoning & transportation funding.
